As part of its CSR strategy, based in particular on a low carbon path validated by the SBTi, the Manitou Group has launched an R&D plan dedicated to hydrogen. At the end of 2022, the Group unveiled the world’s first prototype of a green hydrogen telescopic handler powered by a fuel cell. The project, which includes a large-scale trial phase at the end of 2023, will allow the Group to test different hydrogen technologies and gather valuable feedback from users in the field, with the aim of launching the product in 2026.
The Group has also equipped its test centre with a green hydrogen station to ensure it has the right testing resources for these developments. By 2030, the Manitou Group aims to market 43% of its products as low-emission (electric or hydrogen).
